FlyLouisville.com
Designing a Clearer Path from Curb to Gate

Streamlining the Travel Experience Through Smart Design

The Louisville Regional Airport Authority (LRAA)—which oversees Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, Bowman Field, and the Louisville Renaissance Zone Corporation—needed a modern web presence that could serve both travelers and business stakeholders. Following the renaming of the airport, the existing site felt outdated, fragmented, and difficult to navigate. As Creative Director at Fieldtrip, I led the complete redesign of FlyLouisville.com, creating a streamlined, user-centered experience that balanced the needs of multiple audiences under one cohesive digital platform.

From content architecture and UX strategy to design, copywriting, and development oversight, I guided the project from concept to launch. The result: a faster, cleaner, more intuitive site that delivers key information with clarity—whether you’re catching a flight, leasing property, or exploring business with LRAA.

The relaunch led to measurable improvements in engagement, including a 24% increase in average pages per session, a 13% drop in bounce rate, and a 10% increase in average session duration.
